The Environmental Studies Association of Canada is pleased to invite you to participate in our 2026 Annual Conference from May 26 to 28 in Toronto!

The 2026 Annual Conference will be packed with exciting in-person and digital events and opportunities, including:

  • Keynote speakers and creative dialogues with leading voices in environmental futures, design, and sustainability.

  • Undergraduate and graduate research showcase, celebrating emerging scholars.

  • Practitioner–academic networking event, building bridges between applied work, policy, and research.

  • ESAC’s first-ever creative exhibition with opportunities for performances highlighting art, design, and storytelling as methods of inquiry.

  • The announcement of the 2026 ESAC ECO-Award winners, ESAC graduate awards and other exciting announcements!

The organizing committee is accepting proposals for individual paper presentations & artworks. All proposals must be submitted through the Abstract Submission Form on the ESAC website by January 15, 2026.

For the Call for Artworks: ESAC will have a space at George Brown Polytechnic to host the exhibition for the 3-day duration of the conference. We are still sorting out logistical details and will provide them at a later date if your artwork is selected. There is no guaranteed access to electrical plugs at this stage.
