Why did you join ESAC?

I joined ESAC because I believe in the power of collective expertise to address complex environmental challenges. ESAC’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and bridging research, policy, and practice resonates deeply with my own professional journey. Having worked for over 17 years with the City of Toronto in diverse municipal divisions, I have witnessed firsthand how collaboration between academics, practitioners, and community members can create innovative and sustainable solutions.

My academic background in urban and environmental studies, combined with my experience leading environmental initiatives both in Canada and in the Democratic Republic of Congo, aligns perfectly with ESAC’s mission. I see the Association as a unique space where diverse voices come together to share knowledge, inspire action, and mentor the next generation of environmental leaders. Joining ESAC is not only an honour but also an opportunity to contribute to building a more resilient and inclusive environmental community.
