Rhizome - Vol. 12, No. 2 (May / mai 2003)
A word from the editor/Mot du rédactrice
Thanks again to the people who have contributed to this issue of Rhizome. Your participation is what makes the newsletter worth reading. I was particularly happy with the prompt responses from those I approached about providing content. Maybe a tight deadline is preferable... This is something to keep in mind for whoever takes over the job of Rhizome editor after me. I hope to again serve on the Board in the coming year, although perhaps in a different position than Rhizome editor. I would also like to encourage other ESAC members to consider running for the Board. If you would like to be nominated, volunteer! Like Rhizome, we can only get as much out of this society as we put into it. Although time consuming, serving as Rhizome editor is an enjoyable, and valuable, learning experience.
As always, articles, and book reviews are welcome for the next issue of Rhizome. Other contributions, in the form of rants, cartoons, and letters to the editor would also be appreciated.
Barbara Jane Davy

Rhizome Vol. 12, No.1 (December/Decembre 2002)
A word from the editor/Mot du rédactrice
In keeping with the environmental ideal of conservation, Rhizome is now being published electronically. Paper copies are still available for those who desire them. Please contact me at ESACeditor@sympatico.ca, or write to me at my address listed on the preceding page if you would prefer to receive a printed copy of Rhizome, or if your email address needs to be corrected. If you have comments about this move to an electronic format, or anything else you read in Rhizome, write a letter and I will publish it in the next issue.
I have mostly enjoyed putting together this issue of Rhizome, aside from some minor, if irritating, technical problems. (Who knew page numbering could be so difficult?) I would like to thank Sylvie Trudeau for her careful attention in providing translations, and Scott Slocombe for providing me with clean electronic copies of the ESAC/ACÉE and Rhizome logos (thanks also to Cheryl Lousley for looking for the Rhizome logo at York), and answering various other questions. Thanks also to those who took the time to make a contribution to this issue.
I have included a new section in this issue, with Chris Cooper’s Rant. I would like to make this a regular section, so please, send me your rants. What makes you crazy about the current state of environmentalism, in about 500 words? Other contributions, in the form of articles, book reviews, and cartoons, for example, are also welcome.
